Feliz 2013!

Noche vieja se acerca y estamos ya decidiendo los últimos preparativos... Necesitáis alguna idea? Para representar "la cuenta atrás" podemos jugar con los relojes con un estilo más vintage y clásico. Si por lo contrario queréis darle un toque más infantil y desenfadado a la noche, optar por colores más claros combinados con dorado o plata.

New Year's Eve is approaching and we are now deciding the final preparations... Do you need some ideas? To represent "the countdown" clocks can play a more vintage and classic style. If on the other hand you want to give it a more childish and casual look to the evening, choose lighter colors combined with gold or silver.

Navidades en Home of Lovely Ideas

Un año más, hemos celebrado las Navidades al más puro estilo Home of Lovely Ideas: decoración en cada rincón, muchas velas, motivos florales y combinación de colores acorde con la decoración de la casa... para disfrutar de una Navidad cálida y acogedora.

Once again, we celebrated Christmas in the Lovely Home Ideas' style: decoration in every corner, loads of candles, floral and colors combined matching the decoration of the house ... to enjoy a warm and cozy Christmas.

Como siempre, nos gusta que los invitados se lleven un recuerdo y, en esta ocasión, hemos optado por unas galletitas en forma de árbol de Navidad. El seating es un clásico en nuestras mesas, y para ello pusimos bolitas de Navidad rellenas de porexpan como soporte.

As always, we like our guests to leave with a favor, and this time we chose to give cookies with a Christmas tree shape. The seating is a classic in our tables, and therefore we decided to put Christmas balls stuffed with porexpan as support.

Otros detalles en la casa, como la corona de adviento en la puerta, o los centros florales y velas en las mesas bajas y de apoyo del salón.

Other details in the house, like the Advent wreath on the door, or floral arrangements and candles on low and support tables in the living room.

No Sólo Abeto

¿Quién dijo que las coronas de Navidad tenían que ser de abeto? Hoy en día podemos encontrar cientos de alternativas a la clásica corona: desde coronas hechas con papel hasta coronas hechas con plantas como el eucaliptos, pasando por materiales que jamás hubiéramos imaginado utilizar para este tipo de decoración navideña. Todas ellas pueden conseguir una estética diferente y más adecuada según el lugar donde vayamos a colocarlas. Además, no tenemos porqué colocarlas en la puerta individualmente, sino que podemos hacer composiciones con diferentes coronas y situarlas en otros lugares como las ventanas. ¡Darán un toque diferente a la habitación!

Who said Christmas wreaths had to be made of fir? Nowadays we can find hundreds of alternatives to the classical: from paper wreaths to wreaths made of plants such as eucalyptus, and even other made with materials we never imagined we would use for this type of holiday decorating. All of them can get a different look and more appropriate depending on where we will place them. Furthermore, we have no reason to place them in the door individually, but we can do compositions with different wreaths and place them elsewhere as windows.They will give a different touch to the room!

La Navidad en las calles del mundo.

Solo hace falta salir de casa para ver que la Navidad ha llegado. Las ciudades del mundo se llenan de luces iluminando el paso de la gente y fomentando el espíritu navideño. Muchos dicen que es una mera campaña de marketing para promover el consumo, pero no podemos negar que las ciudades están preciosas y el aroma navideño que se respira favorece la actitud de cualquiera.

Un consejo: Dejad los malos rollos de lado, dejaros deslumbrar por la magia y disfrutad como niños!

You just need to leave home to see that Christmas has arrived. The cities of the world are filled with lights illuminating the walk of people and promoting the Christmas' spirit. Few people say it is merely a marketing campaign to promote consumption, but we can not deny that the cities are beautiful and the Christmas aroma puts us in a good mood.

Tip: Let the bad feelings aside, let yourselves get dazzled by the magic and enjoy as children!
