¿Pasteles o obras de arte?

Hoy en día, los postres de las fiestas, bodas y otros eventos son auténticas obras de arte... Pasteles personalizados con formas, sabores y colores a gusto de los homenajeados. Por eso, creemos que vale la pena volver a dedicarles un post y sumergirnos un poquito más en este dulce y placentero tema.

Y es que para muchos, la repostería se ha convertido en una afición. Os queremos enseñar las maravillas que hace Make-Up Cakes. Montse, maquilladora de profesión y Sandra, fotógrafa, son las responsables de personalizar las tartas de sus clientes con un gusto exquisito.

Nowadays, the desserts of the parties, weddings and other events are true works of art... Custom cakes with shapes, flavors and colors to the taste of the honored. Therefore, we believe that it is worth to dedicate another post and dive a little deeper in this sweet and pleasant subject.

And because for many, baking has become a hobby. We want to show the marvellous creations of Make-Up Cakes from Barcelona. Montse, a professional makeup artist and Sandra, a photographer, are the ones responsible for customizing cakes with such exquisite taste.

Y de postres...

Antes de comenzar las dietas post verano nos permitimos el último capricho: los pasteles de boda (y otras variaciones). La creación de los pasteles de boda se ha convertido en un arte que se ha expandido hasta dar otras opciones al pastel, como son los cupcakes (mini pastelitos en forma de magdalenas) o los cake pops (mini pastelitos en forma de piruleta). 

El pastel de boda es una tradición que debe acompañar al resto de la decoración que hemos elegido para ese día. Una vez elegimos el formato, escogemos los colores y el tipo de decoración que queremos (romántico, floral, rústico, etc.) los maestros de la pastelería nos ofrecen diseños únicos e inimaginables que resultan tan apetitosos a la vista como al paladar. Para aquellas parejas indecisas o simplemente para los amantes de los postres, aquí os dejamos una pequeña selección muy colorida que esperemos ¡os haga la boca agua!

Before we start with the after-summer diets we let ourselves the latest fad: wedding cakes (and other variations). The creation of wedding cakes has become an art that has expanded to provide other options on the cake, as are the cupcakes (mini cakes shaped as muffins) or the cake pops (mini cakes shaped as lollipops).

The wedding cake is a tradition that must accompany the rest of the decor we have chosen for that day. Once we choose the format, the colors and type of decoration we want (romantic, floral, rustic, etc.) the bakery masters offer us unique and unimaginable designs as appetizing to the eye as to the palate. For those undecided couples or just for dessert lovers, here you have a small colorful selection that hopefully will make your mouths water!

Los novios del pastel.

Después de varias semanas, ha llegado el día en el que os enseñemos los novios del pastel más originales que nos habéis enviado.

La verdad es que tenéis ideas buenísimas y nos ha encantado recibir vuestros e-mails. 

Los que más nos han gustado son los que nos mandaron Elvira, María y Vanessa! Muchísimas gracias!!!!

After several weeks, today we finally show you the most original cake toppers that you sent us.

The figurines we want to highlight are the ones that Elvira, María and Vanessa sent us! Thank you very much!

1. Elvira y Pablo regalaron marionetas personalizadas . ¡Qué buena idea! Según lo que cuentan, lo mejor fue al entrar al banquete: Pablo llevaba la marioneta del chico y Elvira la de la chica: las parejas se quedaron sorprendidísimas al ver sus miniaturas de papel maché.  

Elvira and Pablo gave customed puppets. What a great idea! As far we know, the best moment was their entrance to the venue: Pablo hold the groom's puppet and Elvira the bride's one: the couples who received the figurines were surprised to see themselfs in miniature.

En la foto podemos ver que a la pareja de la derecha les gusta hacer snorkling y él es seguidor del Barça. En la pareja de la derecha, podemos ver que a ella le encantan las zebras y a él le gusta mucho leer.
We can see that the couple on the right side enjoys snorkling and that he is a really follower of Barça. On the left side couple, we see that she likes zebras and he likes reading.

 2. María y Manfre regalaron una furgoneta y una casita de madera con dos novios. Manfre es un "manitas" y lo hizo todo a mano. ¡Vaya curro!. Nos han parecido súper originales y muy monos. 

Maria and Manfre gave a minivan and a small wooden house with the new-weds. Everything was handmade by Manfre. ¡How much work!. We find them really originals and cute.

María nos ha explicado que la furgoneta es para dos amigos que todavía tardarán un poquito en casarse y a los que les encanta viajar en coche; y los de la casita porque pronto se van a vivir juntos.
María told us that the minivan is for a couple who isn't getting married yet and likes travelling by car; and the couple who received the small home were going to live together some weeks after the Maria & Manfre's wedding.

 3. Vanessa y Jaume regalaron un coche de playmobil con sus recién casados. ¡Nos ha encantado! ¿habéis visto las latas que cuelgan de la parte trasera del coche? 

Vanessa and Jaume gave a playmobil car with the figures of the new-weds. We loved it! Have you seen the cans hanging from the car?

4. Elvira nos ha mandado una idea que no queremos dejar de enseñaros, porque a veces nos puede sacar de un apuro. Se trata de unas pequeñas marionetas de "dedo" también personalizadas. Es la opción ideal para la hermana del novio o la novia, si no lleva demasiado tiempo con el novio y quieres tener el detalle con ella. 

Elvira also sent us an idea we want to share with you, cause sometimes it can get you out of a tight spot. It's about small finger puppets, customised too. It is a good solution to give to your sister if she and her boyfriend have been together for a short time, but you want have a gesture with her. 

Elvira y Pablo se los regalaron a los abuelos que hacían 50 años de casados el mismo año de su boda. Seguro que no se lo esperaban!Y les encantó.
Elvira and Pablo gave it to their grandparents who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary the same year as their wedding. It is sure that they like it and they didn't expect it!

Los novios del pastel

Nos encanta interaccionar con vosotr@s! Después del post del el auténtico Jack Sparrow, nos gustaría  proponeros que nos mandéis los novios del pastel que os hayan dado en alguna boda. Hollywood llegó a Barcelona

Para celebrar el cumpleaños de una de nuestras estrellas, recreamos la Edad de Oro de Hollywood. Un photocall, un iluminado camerino, carteles de películas, glamourosos sombreros y boas y la clásica alfombra roja. 

    Luces, cámaras y... ¡acción! 

To celebrate one of our star's birthday, we recreated the Golden Age of Hollywood. A photocall, a lit up dressing room, film posters, glamourous hats and feather boas and the classic red carpet. 

    Lights, camera and...action!

¡No os olvidéis de los detalles! Bobinas, maletín de maquillaje, laca, perfume... y para cubrir el tocador, un tejido dorado que nos ambiente en la época. 

Don't forget any details! Film reels, makeup suitcase, hairspray, perfume... and to cover the boudoir, a golden fabric to set the mood. 

En el momento de soplar las velas, un pastel acorde con la temática; con sus cámaras inmortalizará el momento.

When it's time to blow the candles, a cake according to the theme; with its cameras it will immortalize the moment. 

Para que tus invitados te dejen boquiabierto con sus looks ¡hazles saber que el más votado se llevará su estatuilla a casa! Envíales una invitación de cine y que fluya su imaginación.
