Noche vieja se acerca y estamos ya decidiendo los últimos preparativos... Necesitáis alguna idea? Para representar "la cuenta atrás" podemos jugar con los relojes con un estilo más vintage y clásico. Si por lo contrario queréis darle un toque más infantil y desenfadado a la noche, optar por colores más claros combinados con dorado o plata. 

New Year's Eve is approaching and we are now deciding the final preparations... Do you need some ideas? To represent "the countdown" clocks can play a more vintage and classic style. If on the other hand you want to give it a more childish and casual look to the evening, choose lighter colors combined with gold or silver.

Fiesta de cumpleaños con temática musical

Hace aproximadamente un mes y medio recibimos la llamada de Núria, una chica que quería organizarle una fiesta a su madre para su 60 cumpleaños. Entre otras cosas, nos destacó la gran pasión que Clara, su madre, tiene por la música. Así que decidimos elegir este tema como el hilo conductor y lo combinamos con motivos navideños acorde con la fecha del evento. Nuestro objetivo: una fiesta entrañable, acogedora y personalizada al máximo, cuidando todos los detalles para conseguir que para Clara y sus 50 invitados fuera una noche inolvidable.

About a month and a half ago we received the call from Núria, a girl who wanted to organize a party for her mother's 60th birthday. Among other things, we highlighted the passion that Clara, her mother, has for music. So we decided to choose this topic as the main theme and we combined it with christmas decor acording to the dates. Our goal: an endearing, friendly and warm party, personalized as possible, putting all the attention into detail in order to make that night, unforgettable for both Clara and her guests.

Como recibimiento, una pequeña pista de lo que les esperaba a los invitados en forma de piruleta de chocolate blanco con un tag de recuerdo de la fiesta. 

As a welcome, a little hint of what was in store for the guests shaped as white chocolate lollipops with a tag as party favors.

Un cielo de partituras decoraba el bar sumergiendo a los invitados en la temática de la noche. 

A sky of musicsheets decorated the bar envolving the guests in the theme of the night.

Uno de los aciertos de la noche fue contar con la colaboración de Ánima Cátering, que deleitó a todos los invitados con sus propuestas culinarias así como con los pequeños detalles que acompañaban la mesa y la barra. Desde el primer momento confiamos ciegamente en Guillem y Marta, por su trayectoria y gusto que aportan a cada evento.

One of the hits of the evening was the collaboration of Anima Catering, which delighted the guests with their culinary proposal as well as the small details that accompanied the table and the bar. From the first moment we blindly trusted Guillem and Marta, for their career and taste that they bring to each event.

Como sorpresa a Clara, Roger Mas, pianista, tocó en directo sus temas favoritos y emocionó a todos los invitados.

As a surprise to Clara, Roger Mas, pianist, played live her favourite songs and moved all the guests.

Fiesta Flower Power

¡Por fin! teníamos muchísimas ganas de que llegara este fin de semana! Núria cumplió 25 años y bajo el encargo de sus hermanos María y Josep y su novio Roger, le organizamos la fiesta sorpresa con la temática que más le gusta: Flower Power. 

At last! We really wanted this weekend to arrive! Núria turned 25 and as a petition from her siblings Maria & Josep and her boyfriend Roger, we organized her a surprise party with her favourite theme: Flower Power.

Las flores fueron la base de la decoración, y como amantes de los '60, la música fue la gran protagonista.

The flowers were the basis of the decor, and as lovers of the '60s, the music was the main protagonist.

Un enorme 25 hecho con flores que ambientaban la zona del jardín.

El menú hacía eco de la banda sonora de la fiesta: Let's twist again, All you need is love, Oh, Pretty Woman, etc. Sustituyendo palabras de los títulos por ingredientes o platos,  presentamos la comida a los invitados.

The menu echoed the soundtrack of the party: Let's twist again, All you need is love, Oh, Pretty Woman, etc. Substituting words of titles for ingredients or dishes, we presented the food to the guests.

             Una mesa con complementos para los invitados, algunos dulces y un sorteo en el que había que adivinar el título de las canciones a las que hacía referencia el menú.

 El ganador se llevó un ramo de chuches de The Candy Company al estilo Flower Power. 

The winner won a Flower Power style sweets bouquet from The Candy Company.

 En un rincón del jardín, los más tranquilos podían tumbarse al más puro estilo hippie. Aprovechamos ese espacio para poner el detalle para cada invitado: un cd con los mejores hits de los '60. 

In a corner of the garden, the quietest could lay down in a hippie style. We used this space to put the favor for the guests: a CD with the '60s best hits.

 ... y la cumpleañera que sin duda se llevó una gran sorpresa. ¡Felicidades Núria!

Los invitados dieron la talla y vinieron disfrazados acorde con la fiesta. ¡Qué guap@s! Esperamos que disfrutarais de la fiesta tanto como nosotras organizándola.

The guests did a really good job and came dressed up according to the theme. How pretty! We hope you enjoyed the party as much as we did organising it.

¡Felicidades graduados!

El pasado viernes fue la graduación de la promoción 2012 de IQS y Home of Lovely Ideas fuimos las encargadas de la organización de la fiesta. Photocall, pase de fotografías, menús en forma de diplomas y birretes de chocolate fueron algunos de los detalles que amenizaron la velada.

Last friday night was the IQS graduation of the 2012 promotion and Home of Lovely ideas was in charge of the organization of the party. Photocall, a photographs slideshow, menus in the form of diplomas and chocolate caps were some of the details that enlivened the evening.

Shooters nos proporcionó la fotógrafa que captó cada momento y Cafe by Brown Tailor fue el encargado de producir el photocall donde los alumnos mostraron su faceta más divertida: con birretes y gafas de empollón se sintieron auténticos graduados. 

Shooters provided us with the photographer who captured every moment and Cafe by Brown Tailor was in charge of producing the photocall where the students showed their funniest side: with caps and geek goggles they felt like authentic grads.

Para el dulce, como siempre, acudimos a nuestra incondicional The Candy Company, quien nos sorprendió con unos deliciosos birretes decorados con los colores de la universidad. Gracias Anna ¡qué pasada!

For the sweet, as always, we turned to our unconditional The Candy Company, who surprised us with some delicious caps decorated with the university colors. Thank you Anna ¡amazing!

Los alumnos se entretuvieron buscando sus nombres en los individuales y a la hora de escoger platos, desenrollaron sus menús en forma de diplomas. 

 Students were kept busy searching for their names on the place mats and when choosing their main courses, they rolled out their menus in the form of diplomas.

Fiesta de 30 años: Pajaritas y Tocados. Objetivo cumplido

Os desvelamos los últimos detalles de la fiesta, y para los más curiosos... ¡os dejamos con algunas de las fotos!

Un lugar infalible para buscar nuevas ideas e inspiración, es el mercadillo dels Encants vells de Barcelona. Fue ahí donde encontramos, entre montañas de tubos de tela amontonados, los tejidos con los colores y estampados adecuados para la decoración que teníamos en mente.

Una vez en casa, con la ayuda de la "iaia Lolita" ¡creamos alrededor de 25 pajaritas!

A foolproof place for new ideas and inspiration, is the Encants Vells market in Barcelona. It was there that we found, among mountains of piled fabric tubes, fabrics in colors and patterns suitable for decoration we had in mind. 

Once home, with the help of "grandma Lolita" we created about 25 bow ties!

Paralelamente contactamos con Natalí Codina, de Natalicoes, una diseñadora de tocados que teníamos muchas ganas de conocer ya que habíamos visto algunos de ellos en la tienda Pink Carpet de Barcelona y nos habían encantado. Enseguida captó el tipo de tocado que estábamos buscando para las invitadas y nos implicó en su trabajo desde el principio. Elegimos colores, tejidos, formas y materiales y ella se puso en marcha. ¡El resultado fue inmejorable!

Meanwhile we contacted Natalí Codina, from Natalicoes, a headdresses designer we really wanted to know as we had seen some of them at the Pink Carpet store in Barcelona and they were delightful. She quickly got the kind of headdress we were looking for the guests and involved us in her work from the beginning. We chose colors, fabrics, shapes and materials and it was launched. The result was excellent!

Fiesta de 30 años: Pajaritas y Tocados. La decoración

    

Después de semanas de preparativos y organización, por fin celebramos, el pasado fin de semana, la fiesta de cumpleaños de Tocados y Pajaritas (puedes ver las invitaciones aquí y espera a ver más detalles en pocos días). Os mostramos el resultado de la decoración de la fiesta, ¡esperemos que os guste!

After weeks of preparation and organization, we finally celebrated, this past weekend, the Bow Ties and Headresses birthday party (you can see the invitations here and wait to see more details in a few days). Here is the result of the decoration of the party, hope you like it!



En cualquiera de nuestros eventos nunca faltan las velas! Colgadas, entre macetas, en el suelo... Para el buffet, un menú variado y etiquetas para presentar cada plato.
In all of our events no shortage of candles! Hanging, between pots, on the ground ... For the buffet, a varied menu and labels to present every dish.

Un must: un sweet corner para los más golosos. The Candy Company fue la encargada de hacer los maravillosos cupcakes con pajaritas de chuche (íntegramente hechos a mano! desde la masa esponjosa hasta la mini pajarita... espectacular!). Como regalo para los invitados: una chocolatina personalizada de la deliciosa marca Simon Coll y una cookie como agradecimiento.
A must: a sweet corner for the sweet-toothed. The Candy Company was responsable of the amazing cupcakes with bow-tie shaped candy as decoration. As favors: a personalized chocolate bar by Simon Coll and a cookie as a thank you.

Fiestas temáticas

Tenemos algo entre manos: otra fiesta de cumpleaños. La anfitriona tiene dos requisitos: que la fiesta sea de día y que los invitados vistan de blanco. Contamos con una localización fantástica en medio de la Costa Brava, para la cual hemos presentado dos temáticas: ¿cuál os gusta más?

We have something interesting up our sleeves: another birthday party. The hostess has two requirements: the party must be at daytime and the guests must dress in white. We have a fantastic location in the middle of the Costa Brava, for which we have presented two themes: which one do you like better?

Fiesta de 30 años: Pajaritas y Tocados

Queremos compartir con vosotr@s un proyecto con el que hemos disfrutado como enanas. Se trata de una fiesta de 30 años, con la temática "Pajaritas y Tocados" (para más detalles haz click en: Fiesta de 30 años: Pajaritas y tocados: la decoración y en Fiesta de 30 años: Pajaritas y Tocados: Objetido cumplido). Aunque nos ha llevado mucho trabajo, nos hemos divertido muchísimo organizándolo. Os iremos enseñando todos y cada uno de los detalles... pero para abrir boca, os mostramos el Save The Date que se envió por email a los invitados de la fiesta y la invitación manual que todos ellos se encontraron en el buzón de su casa.

We want to share with you a project that we have enjoyed so much. This is a 30th birthday party, with the theme "Bow-ties and Headresses" (to get more details: Fiesta de 30 años: Pajaritas y tocados: la decoración and Fiesta de 30 años: Pajaritas y Tocados: Objetido cumplido). Although we have had a lot of work, we have had a lot of fun organizing it. We are going to show you every single detail... but as a starter, here are the Save The Date sent by email to the guests and the handmade invitation that they found in their mailboxes.

Esta es la invitación y el sobre que los invitaros recibieron.

 Os enseñamos los pasos a seguir para hacer la invitación.
Here are the steps to do the invitation yourself.

1. Material: Regla, celo doble cara, cutter, sobre sin montar, plumas, cinta de tela y papel craft.

2. Corta el papel craft con las medidas que os enseñamos a continuación para hacer la pajarita.

3. Una vez recortado el papel, dobla la parte superior y la inferior y pégalo con celo; vuelve a doblar, esta vez por los laterales y pon celo también.

4. Te quedará un rectángulo, pínzalo por arriba y por abajo de manera que el pulgar y el índice se toquen.

5. Utiliza la tira de papel craft que has recortado de 8 cm para el nudo central de la pajarita; así quedará fijada y no se deshará.

6. Rodea la invitación con una tira de papel craft de dos centímetros de ancho y pega la pajarita y dos plumas en el centro con celo de doble cara. 

7. Pon la invitación dentro del sobre sin montar. Monta el sobre, haz un agujero en la solapa inferior y otro en la superior, pasa la cinta y haz un lazo cerrando el sobre.

1. Supplies: rule, double-sided tape, cutter, untied envelope, feathers, ribbon and craft paper. 

2. Cut craft paper with the measures showed above to make a bow tie.

3. Once you've cut the paper, fold the top and bottom and fix it with tape; fold again, this time on the sides and fix it with tape as well. 

4. You will have a rectangle; pinch from above and below so that the thumb and index fingertouch. 

5. Use the 8cm craft paper strip that you cut earlier for the central know of the bow, so it is tied and will not let go. 

6. Circuit the invitation with a 2cm wide strip of craft paper and glue the bow and two feathers in the center with double-sided tape. 

7. Put the invitation inside the untied envelope. Assemble the envelope, make a hole in the bottom and top flats, and use the ribbon to close the envelope with a bow.
